Finding inspirations towards your dream.

In these years after graduation, I have tried hard to find ways to improve myself with knowledge that can support my work in this challenging environement.

I don’t have a solid background of banking and finance as I studied engineering and management in university. I tried different ways to learn, such as viewing online courses about I-banking, attending classes on PostDip, accounting, taking exams (including language classes & professional exam like CFA)and exam preparation classes such as IELTS.

I was totally lost for a few years. Not to discuss on my career path, but my learning cruve throughout these years. I have the craving and desire to improve myself and learning new knowledge, but the learning skills, focus ability, and memory retention are really low. I even went to study area and dedicate my whole days in weekends and holidays for any kind of learning and exams. But the results are all not satisfied. I have started to doubt, am I right to pursue study, maybe I am the person not suitable to study.

But then, in recent days, I found some ways to tackle these hinderance. In other words, I have found some ways to improve my learning cruve and ability.

In general, boosting awareness is the key to succeed in life. Day after day, depends on the density and failures you have in your life. You will much more understand yourself better and better. This is the biggest equipment for improving yourself. Below are some notes that I recognized in these days (with tons of exams and unproductitiy days and failures). Those are the ways that can enhance my learning cruve, and path to success.

First, I need a balance life. Balance life include exercise, eating the right foods, stick with good vibe and people, maintain a positive and motivated mentality, being loved and having love to others.

Second, I need enough sleep. Lack of sleep will lower my performance, and I will fell sleep in the afternoon eg. 1pm, 3pm and 5–6pm. All these hours will be wasted. So, please, despite I may missed 1–2 hours in the morning rountine, but at least it gave me energy and ensure I will not fall asleep in the middle of day.

Third, I need to lowest all the disturbance. Bad relationships, assholes (existing in everywhere, levels of people) are the most hinderance in my life, because they are depriving and eating my positivty and brian power to focus. They are trash in myself. Learn to get rid of them, also to erase them from random thoughts. Don’t let their action and words hurt you more and more in your heart by blocking the repeating thoughts.

Forth, exercise. Exercise is very important. Keeping a rountine currently, one day jogging, one day gym, makes me feeling healthy and kind of discipline and victory in life. Becuase I can take it as rountine and habits, I can feel I control my life instead of being controled by lazy thoguhts. Keep this at least in the weekdays, despite I go full day study in weekend. Exercise give me extra confidence and energy for my work and study. A kind of pretige thinking, I am over the others.

Fifth, nutrients to my brian. Eating fruits and vegetables, an appropriate level of sun light to your body, are essential for a healthy body and productive work days. Having appropriate level of supplements can be a plus, but remember don’t eat them everyday or too much. There will be some side effects to your body when there are abundance of nutrients in your body.

Sixth, be organized. Having an organized rountine, recipe, systems of cooking, preparing SOP in your mind before night, creating files with organized names, established rountine in reading and writing, and studying (eg. 3 hours per day after work, and full day — 10 hours in weekends) all of this will benefit to me, and helping me to have a better study in the time-being, becuase I can worry less.

Seventh, look for inspirations from high quality people and input. Ali,today the way I found myself being productive in reading notes is bacuse being inspired by Ali’s note taking skill — active recalling. It is like marking questions throughout the whole chapters becuase going deep one to one chapters. By going through the whole books, and actively recall the knowledge, I will have more effieicient study. Way: using toggle to type questions when you quickly going through. 2. Just read like an interest, not to word by word, make it relax and glancing. Therefore, my speed increased x 10 then Saturday (reading very slow and the points are getting slow.

Eighth, mentality, forgot assholes in life. There are many assholes in life, even your manager. To get rid of them, think other positivity. Yes, I know that, they are wrong / non-reasonable in all the times that hurting my brian becuase I don’t know why I will focus on others shitty mistakes or hostile actions done. So, I need to learn who to shift my mind on these negative random thoughts.

All in all, I have improved some way to learning. The highlights from the inspiration are 1. using notion and its toggle function to build up a one-pager for revision. 2. SLeep well 3. Eat good food 4. Exercise in weekdays 5. being organized.
